What a cozy spot! The highlight for us was the fantastic breakfast. Freshly squeezed orange juice and a tasty meat and cheese plate kept everyone satisfied. Plus, the location in the historic part of Paraty made it easy to explore the charming streets nearby.

My kids wished for quieter nights since the noise from the streets carried late into the evening.

The location of Pousada Bartholomeu is perfect, right in the heart of historic Paraty. Beautiful old building with a charming atmosphere. The garden is lovely, ideal for relaxing with coffee. The breakfast blew me away with fresh fruit and delicious pastries. My room was spacious with cute decorations. However, the restaurant noise from below was a real issue, especially with live music until late. The bed felt hard, not my favorite. I struggled with the internet connection at times, making it inconvenient to stay connected. Housekeeping was responsive, but I noticed some areas could use more attention. Overall, a comfortable stay with delightful breakfast, just a few bumps along the way.

However, the noise level can be quite disruptive, especially in rooms located above the kitchen, where early morning deliveries and evening restaurant activity echo right up through the floors. The lack of sound insulation can lead to a less peaceful experience after a long day of exploration, and the rooms can have lingering food smells, particularly during meal times. Additionally, the access to the pousada is challenging if you're navigating the cobbled streets with wheeled luggage, as it's tucked about a 10-minute walk from the main road. Lastly, the limited breakfast options, being non-buffet style, might disappoint those expecting variety.
